AGANIPPE, CHEF’S TABLE
2025, Stockholm
Photography: Erik Lefvander
The aganippe is a nymph in Greek mythology, it’s also a sculpture by Carl Milles to be found among the art pieces in the new studio for high-end event agency Tavet. Westblom Krasse Arkitektkontor set out to create a dinner experience in a homely environment. Created as a “chef’s table” for 10-12 guests, it’s an opportunity to be served by some of the best chefs in Sweden in an intimate, relaxed setting. The 19th century building is located in a secluded courtyard, covered in vines. The floor plan consists of the main dining room with the kitchen and an upstairs lounge. The guests are served some appetizers in the lounge followed by a custom-made menu downstairs, depending on the choice of chef. w.k.a. has transformed the interior of the building completely, with respect to the old detailing such as the beautiful wooden beams. w.k.a. focused on working with the tactile qualities of the materials in the interior design – the stone, wood and steel details have all been executed carefully.
